By rehabilitating the water distribution system the project will ensure that the current high drinking water quality will be maintained, that leakage will be reduced and interruptions to supply will be minimised.

Project Scope

The overall scope of the works to be delivered will include the following:
  • Detailed design and construction of new water mains or the replacement of and renovation of existing water mains including customer connections
  • Construction and commissioning of potable water pumping stations
  • Miscellaneous associated ancillary works
The construction methods utilized to replace or rehabilitate water mains will be primarily trenchless (low dig) technologies to mitigate the disruption caused by open cut trench construction and to minimise waste.
