Brief Description of the Project:

Design, construction, equipment manufacture, supply, installation, commissioning and management assistance of a new wastewater treatment works and associated ancillary works.


Project Scope

The works included:
  • New Wastewater Treatment Works for Omagh comprising primary, secondary, and sludge
          treatment works at a new site at Mountjoy,
  • A preliminary treated wastewater transfer pipeline from the A5 Beltany Road to the start of the
          newly constructed access road to the new Wastewater Treatment Works site
         (approx. chainage 2450 -3550),
  • A new access road from the A5 Beltany Road together with power, water and telephone services
          for a length of approximately 1,100m to tie in with the start of the newly constructed section of
         access road to the new WWTW,
  • Demolition of the existing primary, secondary, storm and sludge treatment works and
          landscaping at Hunters Crescent WwTw.

  • The Scheme will provide wastewater treatment for a total population equivalent of 47,200 and for sludge imports of 90m3/d for a design horizon of 2030.
